Agenda

Welcome to Essential Web 2007. Distinctive from most other web conferences, this one-day event will showcase and celebrate Europe’s web innovators, first and foremost.

The event’s agenda has been shaped to provide a picture of the status and temperature of the web scene in Europe and Israel.

The majority of the time at the event is given over to sessions featuring a mix of upcoming and hot web companies - some will be pre-funded, raw start-ups, others will be well-funded and well-known. They have been chosen to illustrate the range of web activity in Europe and Israel and to kick off comment, question and debate with some expert panelists and, via a backchannel, with the audience. Expert panelists are NOT being asked to present any pre-prepared materials. They are being asked to add to the picture of the web in Europe by bringing their insight and experience to bear in commenting on, and questioning, the presenting companies, and the issues they bring up.

In addition, during the networking breaks, plucky entrepreneurs will be introducing themselves and their ideas to you in hustings-style pitches.

The main areas of focus concern issues of mobility, personalisation, the war for our attention, mobility and location, and monetisation.
